Exceptional craftsmanship
We wanted to revive the traditional Mediterranean origins of backgammon, in the days before the boards became decorated with leather and felt. So we decided to make the game out of wood.
We contacted expert craftsmen familiar with the construction of luxury products. Together we chose beech wood for its resistance, prestige and symbolism.
Notre coffret de backgammon haut de gamme est entièrement réalisé en France de manière artisanale avec du bois issu de forêts responsables françaises. Chaque coffret est soigneusement façonné à la main. Chaque pièce est un objet unique et rare avec ses singularités.
Saint Tropez…..our inspiration
This first series of Tropezian Backgammon with its rounded edges was inspired by the shape of the traditional “pointed” fishing boats. The wood has been bleached so that the colors of St Tropez will stand out.
It has been designed to sit on the table of a café as well as on a beach towel as any sand will simply slide off the quality wooden board.
Our commitment
It was important for us to market a product in line with our values. The raw materials and the packaging have been carefully scrutinized.
All the people and businesses we work with, from the design stage to the distribution networks, are located in France. They are all small companies involved in our project, giving it a true human and social dimension.
